Contact The Team
Trade Watch Alerts is the trading name used on this website. This notice explains how information is used when you browse our marketing website or contact the team. For privacy questions or requests, email team.tradewatchalerts@gmail.com.
Information you give us
Our enquiry form asks for your name, email address, enquiry topic and message. We use these details to answer your question and handle any related follow-up. You can also contact us directly by email. Please do not send passwords, payment card information or unnecessary personal information about other people.
Providing enquiry details is your choice, but we need a reply address and enough information to answer you. Sending an enquiry does not create an app account or subscribe you to marketing.
We rely on our legitimate interests in answering enquiries and supporting visitors. Where you ask us to take steps towards a purchase, we may instead use your information to take those steps at your request. Where records must be kept to meet a legal obligation, that obligation is the basis for keeping them.
Website security and technical information
Website requests can include your IP address, browser information, requested page and request time. Hosting and security services may process these details to deliver the website, investigate errors and protect against misuse. Our legitimate interest is maintaining a working, secure service.
The contact form uses a short-lived, salted hash derived from your IP address to limit repeated attempts. A separate hash helps prevent duplicate messages. The limits expire after 15 minutes and five minutes respectively; these controls do not create a database of enquiry message bodies.
Who receives your information
Enquiries are sent through the website's mail system to the Trade Watch Alerts team at the Gmail address above. Our website hosting provider, YottaSrc, and the email services involved in delivery, including Google/Gmail, process information needed to host the site and deliver or store correspondence. The contact plugin does not maintain a separate submissions inbox in WordPress. Emails, delivery logs and hosting backups are separate from the plugin's temporary anti-spam records.
Information may also be disclosed where necessary to meet a legal obligation, respond to a lawful request or obtain professional advice about a dispute. This form is for correspondence with the team, not for selling enquiry details or adding visitors to marketing lists.
Some service providers operate internationally. You can contact us for information about the providers involved in your enquiry, where information is processed and any applicable transfer safeguards.
How long information is kept
Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to answer the enquiry and deal with related follow-up, complaints or applicable record-keeping obligations. The relevant factors are whether the matter remains open, whether the correspondence relates to an ongoing service, and whether it is needed to resolve a dispute or meet an obligation. Temporary anti-spam records use the shorter periods described above. Deletion from a working mailbox does not necessarily remove separate provider backups immediately.
Cookies and the app
WordPress and installed services may use cookies or similar storage for login, security and website preferences. You can manage cookies through your browser; blocking essential cookies can affect features such as signing in. A browser setting for this website does not automatically manage cookies in the separate app.
The live planning panel displays public summaries and totals supplied by the app. It is not a form for submitting personal information. Links to the Trade Watch Alerts app take you to a separate service for account creation and access to plans. This marketing website does not collect payment card details. Account, subscription and planning-record processing involve additional information beyond a website enquiry; contact the team if you need details about that processing before using the app. This notice is not a complete description of all app processing.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase personal information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive certain information in a portable format. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Email the team to make a request. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK data protection regulator; you do not have to contact us first.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as the website and its services change. The date at the top identifies this version. For questions, Contact The Team.
